How to schedule an absence:
To schedule an absence in the Jackrabbit Parent Portal, parents can navigate to the “Absence Request” section, select the student and date, choose the absence type (full day, late arrival, early leave), and optionally add comments. Once submitted, the absence request is sent to the organization for processing.
- Log in: Access the Jackrabbit Parent Portal using your credentials.
- Locate Absence Request: Find the “Absence Request” option, usually located under shortcuts or a similar area.
- Select Student: Choose the student for whom you are scheduling the absence.
- Select Date: Specify the date of the absence.
- Add Comments (optional): Provide any additional details or notes about the absence.
- Submit: Click the “Submit” button to send the absence request to the organization.
- Confirmation: The organization will process the request, and you may receive a confirmation message or notification.
How to scheduled make-up lessons:
Parents can schedule makeups from the Absences & Makeups page in the Parent Portal following these steps:
- From the Menu (icon)
, select Absences & Makeups. - In the Past section, locate the absence to be made up and click Schedule Makeup.
A window opens with the absence information, the student’s name, and the available makeup classes (max of 100 classes displayed).
- Click to Select the desired makeup class.
- Click Submit.
Note: The system performs a final check to be sure the class is still available. If the class is no longer available a message “This class is no longer available for a makeup” pops up and the Select button is disabled. A different class will need to be selected.
If a Makeup success message has been created in the Parent Portal, it will display the following to confirm the submission of the makeup.
- Click OK to return and close out the window.

Spring and Summer April thru July Make-up Lessons:
MAKE-UP LESSONS ARE NOT OFFERED DURING THE SPRING AND SUMMER SESSIONS.
Fall and Winter August thru March Make-up Lessons:
We will try to accommodate you; however, make-up lessons are not guaranteed. All make-up lessons, times and dates will be based on space available. Make-up lessons should be scheduled within one week of the date of absence. Make-up request received after the session ends, will not be considered eligible for make-up. Eligible Make-ups are valid while you are enrolled. All unused make ups expire when you withdraw and are not carried over upon re-enrollment. Make-up lessons will can not be rescheduled, missed Make-up lessons will be forfeited.
